Fun Filled Day With The Kids

So after the kids were really good and sweet with each other last night

I decided to take the kids to see Cars 2 this morning, as they both really wanted to see it and I wanted to get the kids out of the house anyway.
Once we got home the weather was still really HOT so we decided it was pool time. I picked up some Eliminator "Max Liquidator" Water Canons
for the kids on the way home so it was a good time for the kids to learn how to use them. My son is really starting to enjoy the pool as he gets better and better at swimming which is great to see. I was able to get them to pose for a few pictures on the waterfall so I could send something nice to their mom and my dear wife who is out of town missing out on all of the fun.

Diana Krall - Open Sky Theater

Thanks to some friends and family  we got hooked up with 2 pair of tickets to see Diana Krall. She is not my normal cup of tea as a musical artist, but in this case my wife and I happen be fans. We came across a lovely woman in the elevator and offered the extra pair of tickets, she was really excited and accepted our offer. The venue was a beautiful outdoor setting. The weather was great, with just a small breeze.
The date started off with concern we would even be able to make it, as Kailynn was feeling far from good. She decided to give it a shot and the car ride down was nice with no traffic. The venue was at Harrah's Casino in San Diego, the seats were really good and the stage looked great.
We got a glass of red sat down and enjoyed some really great music. It was a really romantic setting, the music was amazing live. I couldn't help but look over at my beautiful wife, put my arm around her, tell her how great she looked this evening and how much I appreciated her decision to still come out on this date. This was very fun.

It's pretty cool and rare when your favorite band does something awesome for its fans. Incubus is using LiveStream to host a live show from Berlin today. What a great way to kick off the new album tour. The concert was great and the new songs sound amazing.
I'm excited for their new album coming out in July and hoping some friends and I will get to see them play at the Hollywood Bowl in October.

PicSay Pro for Android

There are plenty of picture editing applications for Android. I have tried many and one that sticks out to me is PicSay Pro priced at $3.99 (there is also a free version w/limited options for trial).
The app is very user friendly and has a ton of photo editing options like paint, color pop (turning a photo to black & white then bringing the color back in specific spots), picture insert, tint, saturation, exposure, red eye correction and many more. There is also lens effects, color adjustments, word balloons, stickers, and font packs that can all be applied to your pictures easily. On top of that exporting your work to facebook, twitter, e-mail, picasa, blogger, text messages and plenty of others to share with your friends and family is a snap. It's available in the Android Market as well as the Amazon Appstore. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to add a little something to their pictures.

1st day out on the lake this summer

Took the kids out on the water today, this was our first time out in some time. The weather was perfect and the water nice and refreshing.
Our dog (Ashton)  absolutely loves the boat and every time he sees a duck he nearly jumps in after them. We have to be careful with him as he needs sun block just as us humans do.
The first trip of the season is always interesting with how the boat will run. Today was not bad but I need to adjust the idle up. This caused a few stalls today.
Overall today was a blast, the kids, wife and I all had a wonderful time on the lake. Took some refreshments and snacks with us and cruised the entire lake. The kids played with their super soakers, swam (well Georgia freaked out),  sang songs and enjoyed a day outside. A day on the lake is usually an amazing family function.
